I am not overstating it when I say that the man who caused all the trouble hurt all of you more than he hurt me. Most of you opposed him, and that was punishment enough. Now, however, it is time to forgive and comfort him. Otherwise he may be overcome by discouragement. So I urge you now to reaffirm your love for him. 2 Corinthians 2:5-8 NLT 2 Corinthians is a powerful book simply because it teaches us how to forgive others. In these lines we learn about even when others cause us grief, it has not grieved God. He tells us in his word that we must forgive those that torture us and do us wrong! I know it's hard and we don't understand why we need to but God teaches us to love our neighbors as ourselves. It doesn't mean you need to become best friends with the ones that do you wrong but it means we must forgive those who send grief towards our way and still love them. You don't have to keep fooling with em!!! Just think about what Jesus would do and act accordingly! Learn from your past so you can handle the future. I promise when you do what The Lord says, He will bless you in the end!! If this is a tough situation that you struggle with, I encourage you to holla at me and I will definitely be able to help! I have dealt with this many times. God blessed me right after the situation just because I handled it the right way! Learn how to love and not hate Then The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nostrils, and the man became a living person. Genesis 2:7 God simply made man from the dust that is on the ground. God created us literally from scratch. As He created us, He didn't just throw us together... He created us with love. One thing I want to teach you is that showing love can change peoples lives. The reason I say this is because as I thought about making this Movement, I thought about how much I love seeing people happy. I thought about how much it meant to me to see people smile instead of having a frown on their face. I don't know about you but I would rather have a joyful day then a day where I am sad an depressed. The devil loves to mess with people and try to throw people off their path but as I created this movement, I learned that I have to trust God and let him deal with all the negativity that exists in my life. You would think everything in my life is all grand because of this Movement but it truly isn't. To this day I still receive messages from people trying to throw me off my path or speak begs tickled about me. As bad as I want to retaliate and say something bad, I realize that I have to continue to show love towards others because that's what Jesus did when he was being persecuted. Whenever negativity comes your way, I want you to think about "What would Jesus do?" You don't have to reply to that bad or disrespectful message! Simply ignore it! That's just the devil trying to mess with you. Show love towards others!! I learned that showing love makes up for sin! Wouldn't it be a better place if we showed more love instead of hating each other?! When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, 5 neither wild plants nor grains were growing on the earth. For the Lord God had not yet sent rain to water the earth, and there were no people to cultivate the soil. 6 Instead, springs came up from the ground and watered all the land. 7 Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nostrils, and the man became a living person. Genesis 2:5-6 So God created his works in six days and then on the seventh day (Sunday) he chose to rest. But as He created the earth and the heavens, their was no wild plants or grains on the ground. The reason why there wasn't any plants growing was because there wasn't any water to help it grow. He didn't send the rain to water just yet. I'm sure many of you have learned throughout school that it takes water for plants to grow! As the verse continues, it says that no people were cultivating the earth. The word cultivating simply means to develop. In the next line it says that springs came up from the ground and watered all the land. Then God formed man from the dust from the ground and ended up creating man. I thought these two verses were so significant because it depicts the creation of man. Not only does it depict the creation of man but it shows that God always finds away to provide us with the things we need. Even though we might not understand why we don't get it when WE WANT IT, in the end He always provides it when we really need it. In life, we won't understand God's plan for us, but just know He doesn't make mistakes. Once we learn how to approach the situations that we are faced in with a positive attitude, that's when we will become the difficult situations. the situations that we are in, always know that someone else has it worse than us. If we are still living, with a place to stay and have food on the table then we are still better off than some people. Things may not be going your way but be reminded that just like the land on earth being dry, God created the springs to water the land. He will always provide the things we need in life to continue our journeys. The road is never easy, but we have to learn to keep on fighting and believing.
1 So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. 2 On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation. 4 This is the account of the creation of the heavens and the earth. Have you ever noticed that Sunday just feels like a different day? It doesn't feel like a Monday.. It doesn't feel like a Tuesday.. It doesn't feel like Wednesday.. It doesn't feel like any of the other days of the week. It's a day that I usually go to Church, then comeback and sleep till Momma Beezy gets done with cookin' an A1 meal and then I'll watch the Cowboys or the Rockets play! I literally just chill on Sundays and do not do work unless it's homework. You see… as God created the heavens and the earth, it took him six days to create his magnificent work. He worked so hard to create such a magical place that he took the last day to rest. Every Sunday is just a different day to me.. It's a day that I feel like I can just chill and be around people that I love and have quiet time to myself. A Sunday is designed for a NO work day because it is considered a holy day. Even though society has became corrupt and we do not acknowledge this day as holy, we still have to respect God's holy day and learn how to just relax and chill on such an amazing day. The Lord gives us a day to just reflect back on the work that we have done and just evaluate what we need to do on the upcoming days. Learn how to enjoy a relaxing Sunday! Do something that you love! Do something that makes you happy! Enjoy it and consider it a Holy Day to you!
31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day. Genesis 1:31 NLT The last verse in the first Chapter of Genesis, it reads, "Then God looked over all he made and he saw that it was very good. This is only half of the last verse but it is so powerful. The reason why this verse is so significant is because it displays the love that God truly has for us. In this reading, we learn how EVERYTHING that God has made is very good! Don't be down on yourself or feel like you're not good enough. God loves you when nobody else does. So what you are all alone and feel like no one else is there... I promise if you just talk and become closer to God, you will have no worries. Lean on God! He holds His hand out 24/7!! If His hand stays out 24/7 are you willing to stretch your hand out towards Him and hold His hand? If you just put faith in God and believe, you can do anything. Realizing that you can not take on life by itself will be the day everything turns around. Start believing in yourself because like Genesis 1:31 says, "Then God looked over all he made and he saw that it was very good!" Be blessed! 30 And I have given every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground - everything that has life." And that is what happened. Genesis 1:30 In Genesis 1:30 we learn how God has provided the earth with green plants. He says that wild animals, the birds, small animals and everything else that has life, to consume these plants as food. If you really think about it… That is exactly what goes on!! We all consume that one simple nutrient today! Whether it is through vegetables or vitamins! We are consuming those nutrients in which God blessed us with. I don't know if you have ever seen the Discovery Channel, but all of the animals that I have seen, consume plants! In one fashion or another, every living animal tends to consume plants! I thought this was an amazing verse to me because it reminds me that God always provides just enough of Him in our lives. We may not receive everything that we want and desire but God always blesses us with all the things we need. I can testify to this because I am a college student at the University of Arkansas!! I paid my first electric bill today! lol. Bills are starting to come left and right but I know God has a plan for me in my life and is going to keep blessing this Movement. Just remember, we may not have everything we want but we have everything we need to keep fighting the battles that we are in.
29 Then God said, "Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food. Genesis 1:29 In this verse, God explains that as he created the waters and the earth, he also created mankind. He didn't just create man but He also created everything mankind would need. He exclaims, Look! I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth. I thought this was significant because in the text, it shows that God has provided everything that we need in our lives. He makes it known to us that we do not need anyone but Him. Half the battle is won when you realize that we can't live without God. We can't do anything without help from The Lord. One simple verse that I memorized and it always reminds me that I can't do it on my own is Psalm 121:2 which reads, "My help comes from The Lord, the maker of Heaven and earth." The day that you realize you can't do it on your own, is the day that you win half the battle. When you win half the battle, it's easy from there. Call on The Lord and ask for his help. When you ask for His help, He will declare it done as long as you have faith in Him and call on His name.
28 Then God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground." Genesis 1:28 God simply asks us to be fruitful to others and multiply. When He says multiply, He doesn't necessarily mean multiply by the number of people, but the number of followers of Christ. He wants us to multiply the fruitfulness of others as well. He continues saying that we will fill the earth and govern the earth. Mankind will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky and all the animals that scurry along the ground. It's in His word that we must govern the earth. Not only do we need to govern the earth but we need to govern each other. We need to learn how to build others up and create other disciples. Being fruitful to others is not hard. The definition of fruitful is abundantly producing something. If a fruit tree produces an abundance of fruit, then it is considered fruitful. When God asks His people, us, to become fruitful, we must be abundant and produce something great out of ourselves. We must learn to be fruitful and be good citizens. Let's make an effort of becoming fruitful individual's and making a difference on this earth.
27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27 God created human beings in his own image. That image was the image of God. Reading that verse was just so significant to me. It made me realize that we all have that "God"liness in us too! We have that within all of us but it depends on whether we want to bring that out. Of course we all go through adversity. But it's how you handle the adversity that matters. God will make a way out of no way. God doesn't make mistakes. Stay motivated on your goals and strive for them. If you don't have goals, start setting them. Even if you have to write them out... Do it. Setting goals help with faith. If you have faith in those goals, and believe in those goals, you find the reward in the end. With hardwork and dedication you will reach those goals. When you reach them you'll realize you have faith in yourself because you made it! You made your goal! Believing in yourself and believing in your goals, can go a long way. Not just benefiting you but it makes you put faith in God and believing in Him. There's not a battle that He can't fight. If you put your faith in God, He will always be there. The battles aren't easy but God will always make a way when you have faith in Him.
26 Then God said, "Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the Sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground." Genesis 1:26 God created man to be the image of Himself. He says that they will reign over all other living organisms. God wanted man to be at the highest stature on earth since He reigns in heaven. This verse insignificant because it shows we have power in ourselves and each other. If we reign over the living creatures and God created us to be an image of Him, what do we have to fear? The only thing we have to fear is man itself. God created us as an image of Him which is a loving and caring God. We are NOT God but we are an image of Him. If we aren't showing love towards others and caring for others, how are we an image of Him? We need to start loving our neighbor instead of hurting them. We must support each other instead of bringing them down. We must lift people up and not tear them down. Simple gestures like these can truly change the world.
