When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, 5 neither wild plants nor grains were growing on the earth. For the Lord God had not yet sent rain to water the earth, and there were no people to cultivate the soil. 6 Instead, springs came up from the ground and watered all the land. 7 Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nostrils, and the man became a living person. Genesis 2:5-6 So God created his works in six days and then on the seventh day (Sunday) he chose to rest. But as He created the earth and the heavens, their was no wild plants or grains on the ground. The reason why there wasn't any plants growing was because there wasn't any water to help it grow. He didn't send the rain to water just yet. I'm sure many of you have learned throughout school that it takes water for plants to grow! As the verse continues, it says that no people were cultivating the earth. The word cultivating simply means to develop. In the next line it says that springs came up from the ground and watered all the land. Then God formed man from the dust from the ground and ended up creating man. I thought these two verses were so significant because it depicts the creation of man. Not only does it depict the creation of man but it shows that God always finds away to provide us with the things we need. Even though we might not understand why we don't get it when WE WANT IT, in the end He always provides it when we really need it. In life, we won't understand God's plan for us, but just know He doesn't make mistakes. Once we learn how to approach the situations that we are faced in with a positive attitude, that's when we will become the difficult situations. the situations that we are in, always know that someone else has it worse than us. If we are still living, with a place to stay and have food on the table then we are still better off than some people. Things may not be going your way but be reminded that just like the land on earth being dry, God created the springs to water the land. He will always provide the things we need in life to continue our journeys. The road is never easy, but we have to learn to keep on fighting and believing.
