My story |
"Hello, My name is Michael Hairston and I am a Junior at the University of Arkansas majoring in Communications with a minor in Marketing. With the goal of finishing school and earning a Master's degree in Communications, I aspire to travel the world so I can motivate and inspire others to believe through my organization Messages From Beezy.
My organization, Messages From Beezy, is "a Movement about believing!" On July 26, 2013, God lead me to a decision that I will never forget. I had a conversation with God because I was at a low-point in my life. During this low-point, I felt as if I was living life just to live instead of living out my purpose. I had already completed my first year of college at the University of Arkansas studying Sports Medicine aspiring of being a Physical Trainer for the Houston Rockets one day. That was my dream. After freshman year, I realized quickly this was not what I wanted to do.
For my freshman year at the University of Arkansas, I completed the required courses like College Algebra and English Composition I and II and also many science courses such as University Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Sociology. The 2013 Summer made me sit down and think about my future and what I wanted to do.. I begin praying to God about my future because I felt lost. I struggled with the science classes I was in and did not know what my future would hold for Sports Medicine. I put my faith in God because I knew His plan was greater than my own.
As a child, I grew up with spiritual parents and cared for me at all times. We attended church as a family ever since I was born. My mother placed a picture frame in my bathroom when I was little and it had a scripture that read, "All things are possible, if you believe." Mark 9:23. This scripture was engraved into my mind ever since a little boy. Mark 9:23 has always inspired me that I can do anything if I can maintain the proper relationship with God and believe in myself. Through this scripture, I have been able to accomplish an abundance of accomplishments. There were many days in my life that I felt like I would be a failure and be a disappoint to the ones who loved me the most.
As I continue praying and talking to God about my future, suddenly, God lead me to my future. On the founding day of July 26, 2013, I decided to launch my own movement called "Messages From Beezy." You may ask yourself, "What is Messages From Beezy?" Well, it is simply a movement orchestrated by many members and myself who have the mindset of inspiring others through our motivating blogs! Some of the blogs consist of my blog "Messages From Beezy" and also "Conor Fogle's Messages", "Halley Hill's Messages", "Learning about Life", "It's Okay To Be a Follower", "Jack Thomas' Blog", "Making Your Move", "Paryn Has a Purpose", "Shelbie Byram's Blog", "Talking With Lexy" & "Written Visions"!
I also thought it would be a great idea to feature the Mark 9:23 verse on wristbands that may inspire others throughout their everyday life! Go check out the collection in the Store Today!
I sincerely appreciate the support from everyone!! God has blessed me with the opportunity to have many mentors who inspire and motivate to keep this Movement going each day. I am thankful for God's love, my parents, and the countless number of friends who have supported me!
