8 You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. 9 The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:8-9 5 "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time," I Peter 5:6 There is literally nothing to fear when God is within all of us. This verse simply tells us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. We have to be humble individuals. The word humble can be simply defined as someone who shows modest or low estimate of one's own importance. There is no reason to boast or show off what we have because in God's eyes it's nothing. God can do exceedingly and abundantly!! He can do far more than what we can do on earth! We have to humble ourselves!! We have to use the talents that God has blessed us with and minster those talents to others and continue spreading his word. If its basketball, bring others closer to God through the sport of basketball! If it's football, bring other players closer to God! Whatever it is, we can all magnify the kingdom of God by spreading his word. The Lord will exalt us when it's time! He blesses each and everyone of us. After God sees the humbleness of his people, he exalts them! Look at all of God's people that have made it. LeBron James is a perfect example. He always kept God first and he worked hard. His circumstances were very rough at times but he did not give up on God even though he didn't have everything he wanted. He used his talents through basketball and still magnified the Lord. He is truly an inspirational person. I'm not a Heat fan at any means lol. I'm still a die-hard Houston Rockets fan but I have to be a fan for an admirer of God. Be humble!
