This weekend we got my whole family together for the first time in a long time and had the funeral service for my grandma who passed away the first day of this school year. She was cremated and we've been waiting to get everyone together before we did the service. My aunt had the idea that we should each make a rock or do a little something to be buried with her. When I got to my aunts house and some of us were sitting there working on them, she pulled out the ones she had already made and pulled one out with the band wrapped around it. She told me she knew I had given it to her and she wore it everyday and so she said I could either take it back home or bury it with her and it was my decision. I told her that I wanted to keep it with her because I had my own. When we all told the meaning of our rocks I told them that you had started the movement a few years ago and I would give bands to different people to help promote it. My grandma struggled with quite a few parts of her life and I gave this band to her to encourage her constant never give up attitude. The band not only gives me the reminder that anything is possible but now also reminds me of her and how she would never give up on anything and proved just how strong she really was.
So thank you!

I believe in the band. First of all, I just want to thank Mike Beezy for actually creating this, and actually giving me hope. Because if you know me, I'm really not that close to churches and religion but this band actually gives me hope with that one verse that's written on there. It gives me hope that, no matter what, it's going to be alright. Anything is possible, as long as you believe. Believe in the band. You have to believe in something, you might as well believe in the band. I believe in the band because I feel like it gives me motivation every time I read the band; because when you feel down and out, you always have to believe that you can do everything, through Christ. |
