"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect" Romans 12:2.
We can't live a life based on other people and what others think of us. In today's world, often times we look at the bad in someone or assume the worst in a situation. When we lose things like a car from a wreck or even a person in our life, how about we thank God for giving us a car or placing that special individual in our lives that passed away in our life. My meditation professor once said, "If we transform our way of perceiving things, we can transform the quality of our lives." We must transform the negative aspects that we think about each other, into positives that will brighten someone's day. Simple gestures like these or even speaking to others can truly benefit everyone. Why live and think negatively when you can live and think positively? When you aspire (set as a goal) to change, our minds feel a sense of direction but it is our job to pray and have faith in God so He can find a way to put that into action. |
