"Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend [to show rage or worthy purpose]." Proverbs 27:17 AMP Lately I've been talking about the topic friendship. I think friendship is a very important to talk about simply because we all have them. Some of us may have more than others but ultimately we all have them. As The Lord says, "iron sharpens iron" we sharpen our friends. We are not perfect but it's our job to keep the people around us accountable. We have to build up each other and not tear each other down.
"A friend loves at all times, and is born, as is a brother, for adversity." Proverbs 17:17 A lot of people ask me about what they should do if their friends did them wrong or screwed them over in a way. I found this verse and thought it was perfect for people who are wondering if that person that did them wrong is really there for them or if they're just put in your life for just a season. A true friend will be there for you through thick and thin. We all will go through adversity, but that's what brings out the best in us. You can easily tell who really loves you when you have success and when you are at your lowest. Start paying attention to who is there for you. Even if you don't talk to them everyday, or hangout with them everyday, if they celebrate your success and pick you up when you are down, that's how you know that they are a True Friend.
For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God), and His ears are attentive to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who practice evil [to oppose them, to frustrate, and defeat them]. [Ps. 34:12-16.] (1 Peter 3:12 AMP) God keeps His eyes on the ones that are doing right and loving others. I can't express how important it is for us to love others. It's the most righteous thing we can do to one another. His ears stay open when righteous people cry out to Him in prayer. He knows what you are going through and knows exactly how to heal your grief. But if you decide that YOU are doing everything by yourself and that you aren't being helped with God, that is considered unrighteousness. You are never alone during your trials and tribulations. He is against the wrongdoing that takes place but if He sees that you love others and knows you're a good person He looks passed the bad because He KNOWS you. He is willing to listen but are you willing to talk to Him? This verse is so true and I can testify to that. I have been praying and praying for an answer of finding help to promote the Messages From Beezy Movement. He answered that prayer today by giving me an opportunity to be interviewee by the University of Arkansas TeleVision station. He sees I'm doing good and He has His eye on me. I'm no where near close to perfect. I am a college student that screws up all the time but I always talk and go to The Lord about everything. He sees that I am doing good things on this Earth.
"Thus says the Lord Who made [the earth], the Lord Who formed it to establish it-the Lord is His name: Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand)." Jeremiah 33:2,3 AMP Reading and understanding what God tells us to do may be a difficult task, but when you have someone like a preacher or an "interpreter" like myself, there is no excuses of not doing what He says. Most people do not like reading the bible just because they say it's too hard, or it's too confusing. Today I say to you that reading a verse or two a day is better than not reading at all. Not only are you making an effort but you are showing God that you WANT to go to Him. In the lines above God explains how He created the Earth and all the lands. If He was able to create the Earth what do you think He can create for you? He says that all you have to do is "Call to Me" and He will show us great and mighty things! I don't know about you but I love seeing great and mighty things lol. But we have to complete the simple
"Let no one despise or think less of you because of your youth, but be an example (pattern) for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12 In these lines, God explains to us that we should not let others down-play or talk bad to us just because of our age. How old we are doesn't define how much love we can give and show to God. In the next line it says that we need to lead by an example for other believers in our speech, the way we conduct ourselves, showing each other love, having faith in Him and in being pure. The Messages From Beezy movement goes hand-in-hand with this verse. It's a movement that brings young teens and teenagers together for one purpose and to create a better society! We are leading by example of how we can still thank God even when times are not the brightest. He is the light when we are in the dark and He is the rock of our salvation.
"For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your (own) poets have said, For we are also His offspring." (Acts 17:28 AMP) If someone is speaking out negative then they are living a negative life. You can't avoid a bird flying over your head but you can stop a bird from building a nest over your head. In life, you can't avoid people who are talking negatively about you. So why worry about them if its not in your control. You can control what goes on, in you.. God has a plan for our lives and the devil will do whatever he can to destroy that plan. The negativity that goes on is just the devil. Let the devil represent the bird. Don't let the bird build a nest on your head when you can just let him fly around you and ignore it.
9/14/2013 Love One Another As He Has Loved us! and uh... What's up with them Hogs though?? #3-0Read Now"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:34-35 NKJV) This verse that I read today stood out and touched me as soon as I saw the word commandment. The word commandment can be put into simpler terms by saying it is an order from God. Something He asks of us... He says, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another." That is so powerful and touched me so much that I had to make few texts to some athletes and just let them know that Hey... I believe in them and know that they have what it takes to go far this year. I believe in every single one of them and I want them to know that with the grace of God and believing in Him, BIG THINGS CAN HAPPEN!! Only God knows where them Razorbacks will go! But we have to keep believing in His word, serving Him and giving Him thanks. We have to show love to one another because if there is more love on this Earth than evil, maybe we can turn society around. But it starts with YOU, it starts with the you reading and wanting to do better. It's okay to love people and do good things. God will ultimately reward the ones that do His work.
"All things are possible, if you believe" Mark:23. Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalms 37:3, 4 NKJV)
This verse is simple but is so powerful. God teaches us a very valuable lesson. He explains to us that if we just trust in Him and do good. While we are present on this Earth, it is our job to be faithful to Him and keep Him present in our life. If we just do these simple things that God asks of us, He will give you whatever your heart desires. But the important thing is to do what He says!!! It's simple... Why not do what He says so you can have what you want?! Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: (Hebrews 10:35, 36 NKJV)
The Messages From Beezy isn't easy to keep up with.. I receive many text messages, calls, Facebook messages and tweets all day about how people need encouragement or just want to hear a message. Sometimes I wonder if I'm making a difference. Sometimes I wonder is this movement moving in the direction that God wants. He reminds me each and every day that this movement is what He wants and it's bringing people closer to Him. This verse spoke to me and made me realize the work that I am doing is not for my benefit but ultimately I want to receive His promise. Not only do I want to receive His promise, but I want the people around me to receive His promise as well. Today, join the movement. Today, help spread this movement with your friends and family. Why don't we all receive his promise? Help lead others to Him like what I'm doing. Help and find out how you can make a difference just by helping me with the Movement. I enjoy the little things people do just to help. God is good and we all have a promise and a blessing waiting at out front door. "All things are possible, if you believe" Mark 9:23 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. (Colossians 3:12-14 NKJV)
God forgives every negative action that we do to one another. He is a forgiving God and he loves us so much that he took physics and mental pain just for us. If God can forgive all the people that hurt Him, we can forgive someone that has hurt us. He had thousands of people against him and hurt him.. We are not going through anything compared to God. We need to show our love to one another because that's what God asks of us. The showing of love is a sign of perfection in God's eyes. |
